It is our honor and responsibility to present the first-ever survey report on The State of Engineering in Somalia, conducted 34 years after the collapse of the central government. This report highlights the progress made and the ongoing challenges affecting the engineering profession in the country.
Despite Somalia facing difficult circumstances, engineers have played a crucial role in rebuilding economic infrastructure and industries. This report analyzes key aspects of the engineering sector, including:
